Lord Stirling Stable is situated on 450 acres with 10 miles of trails (wooded and fields), one indoor ring, two outdoor rings, and an outdoor-jumping course.

RIDING

English Saddle Riding
Group lessons for Juniors (ages 9 - 18) and Adults. Beginners through Advanced levels, one hour per week for ten weeks. We offer four 10-week sessions per year (winter, spring, summer and fall). If you have previous riding experience, call for an appointment to be classified.

English Saddle Riding (Hacking)
For experienced English Saddle riders (ages 9 and older). Trails or outdoor/indoor ring. Must be able to post the trot. Hourly rental. Juniors must have parent or legal guardian sign the hacking release form. Must be 12 years of age or older for trail riding.

Introductory Rides
For first-time riders who currently may not want a full set of ten lessons, for riders who have ridden Western style and would like to try English style, and for riders who want to refresh their skills so they can rent horeses and Lord Stirling Stable in the future. Introductory rides consist of a "mini" lesson followed by a supervised ride. Riders must be 12 years of age or older.

Lead Line
For children who can sit up and hold onto the saddle without assistance up to age 12. Parent or legal guardian is responsible for leading the pony or horse. Half-hour rental.

WORKSHOPS

Summer Workshops
For Juniors (ages 9 - 18) and Adults. Juniors must be a "D-3" and Adults a "Beginner 2" according to our lessons classification. Summer Workshops enable experienced English Saddle-riding Adults and Juniors to increase their riding skills, learn proper horse care, and have fun at the same time. Our two-week Summer Workshop meets four hours daily; one hour formal riding instruction, one hour recreational riding, one hour informal lecture, and one hour "hands on" horse care.

Mini Workshop
This workshop provides "hands on" experience with horses and useful information on horse care. No riding involved. Two-hour instruction for five weeks.

HORSE SHOW

Junior & Adult Horse Show
Lord Stirling Stable provides semiannual Junior Horse Shows for 9 - 18 year-old riders and for Adult riders who have ridden in our riding lesson program. The Horse Show enables family and friends to share the rider's joy and excitement while providing a fun competition for students. Small fee per class.

COURSES

Horse Management Course
Adults only. Ninety minutes per week for six weeks in January and February. No riding involved.
